To Letting Go.

Rear View Mirror
(By Pearl Jam off of Vs)

I took a drive today
time to emancipate
I guess it was the beatings made me wise
but I'm not about to give thanks, or apologize
I couldn't breathe, holdin' me down
hand on my face, pushed to the ground
enmity gauged, united by fear
forced to endure what I could not forgive...
I seem to look away
wounds in the mirror waved
it wasn't my surface most defiled
head at your feet, fool to your crown
fist on my plate, swallowed it down
enmity gauged, united by fear
tried to endure what I could not forgive
saw things
saw things
saw things
saw things
clearer
clearer
once you, were in my...
rearview mirror...
I gather speed from you fucking with me
once and for all i'm far away
I hardly believe, finally the shades...are raised...
saw things so much clearer
once you, once you...
rearviewmirror...
saw things so much clearer
once you, once you...
rearviewmirror...

I think the song says it all for me. Some people just look better when you're leaving them. I know this isn't like my normal entries, but it seems like Regina's Ex is going to be the thorn in my side. Any suggestions as to how I get her to step on the gas and leave his cheating ass behind?

In my limited experience (the older I get, it seems the more limited it feels), I've realized that it has to be HER who needs to acknowledge that she has to step on the gas. No one, not even you, can step on that pedal; it has to be her foot and her foot alone.

Until then, no amount of advise, singing, pleading or whining will make her step on it earlier.

But thinking creatively (if not legally), you could have the cheating f**k disposed off the Tondo way: a bottle of Pale Pilsen will do. Hwek-hwek-hwek!

Thanks Joel... I think I went the Tondo route before and it got me into trouble. Perhaps something less drastic? Hahahahaha...

I think I would be considered as somewhat an expert on this matter--haha. Seriously, let her be. Let her decide and live and learn and love and fall and rise and fall again and realize what is good and bad or both, what will make her happy, what will bring her pain and what will give her bliss. People will see only what they want to see, no matter how much you try to convince them.

You're a wonderful guy, you need not convince people of anything about yourself. :) Like I always say, don't rush, it will fall into place.
